Monica Major
Homeroom 4A
t has been a journey to get where I am. I tried a few different things before deciding teaching was the place for me. Since starting my teaching career I have taught a little of everything from K-9 in 3 different schools. The majority of my teaching has been in grade 5 and I am happy to experience the change and now teach grade 4. I spent a year teaching in Australia and it was an experience of a lifetime that I cherish everyday. It allowed me to travel, and continue learning and growing as a teacher. I love being able to bring my time from Australia into my teaching now. When I am not teaching I live a pretty quiet life. I love being anywhere in nature walking around or just hanging out. I travel as much as I can afford, so I can experience new things. I believe we need to be lifelong learners and learning does not just happen in my classroom. My hope is that I inspire my students to be lifelong learners themselves.
