Jillian Terry
Homeroom 8B
Hello Falcons and families! My name is Jillian Gron and I teach Grade 8 and 9 Science, Math, and Health at George Freeman School. I grew up in Calgary and graduated with Bachelor Science and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Lethbridge. I started my teaching career in Coaldale, AB in 1997 and then made the move to Strathmore in 2000. I spent six years teaching Math and Science at Crowther Memorial, and then ventured off to Ontario. I was lucky enough to live on the shores of Lake Simcoe for two years before moving back to Strathmore. My return to Strathmore provided the opportunity to teach Literacy Success and Grade 6 at Westmount School for seven years before becoming an Instructional Coach for the Golden Hills School Division. I am now excited to be teaching Junior High again at George Freeman School. Crazy, I know, but I love the buzz and excitement that comes with every minute in a junior high classroom!
I have three children who have always kept me busy with sports. If I am not at home or school, you can usually find me in a hockey rink. Not that I only have one daughter at home, I am finding more time to enjoy some gardening in my yard, getting out for a walk or run, or getting lost in a good book.
