Laura Taplin

Hello Falcons! My name is Laura Taplin and I am thrilled to be teaching Grade One at George Freeman School. Recently I graduated from the University of Alberta with my Bachelor of Elementary Education. I have always had a passion for teaching and have dreamed of being a teacher since I was very young. In fact, when I was a kid I used to play school in my bedroom at home! Growing up, I lived on an acreage outside of Strathmore. I am the youngest in my family of five and spending time with them is one of my favorite things to do. You can also find me playing and watching sports, taking care of my plants and flowers, being with my friends and trying new recipes.
